Info: MA motor mount group buy

DESTROKED is putting together a group buy over at the dieselplace. he had 5 buyers as of 4:30 eastern time yesterday. the shipment for this buy leaves monday i guess. i was just going to extend the offer over here to those that might not be able to view the site in hopes of getting 5 more buyers by the end of business today. PM me for what details i have, or DESTROKED at dieselplace.com telling him you want in.

ya that was the price for the first 5, im also not sure what the price will be for 10 but it's lower.

i don't think they are open weekends, so i think by the end of business today you'd have to call MA and talk to Nick and tell him you are part of the group buy, because they should ship monday.

do a search here about motor mounts and you will find that they are pretty weak in stock form....many who compete drill the driver's side mount at the very least and bolt it. however, there has been people who have surpassed the limit of that modification and torn through the steel structure of the mounts with the bolts. one more modification could be to weld more steel to the outsides to make them thicker, then bolt them...these mounts, arguably, will be indestructible.

hey guys, im going to copy and paste Eric's post from DP, it explains this better than i have so far i think.

"Guys, Retail is 389.00 on the set.

Price breaks will be at 5 sets and 10 sets. You will save if your part of the GB. I dont think I'm permitted to post the pricing on it with forum rules.

If your serious enough to commit, call and place the order with Nick. Leave him all your information including payment method and he will give the breakdown on pricing. I'll close the GB on Friday March 12, 2010.

At that point, if there is more then 5 interested, it will be priced at the first break.

If more then 10 are interested, you will be charged lesser price.

i think we still only have 5, but there may be 6. Lets get 10 of these sets out there into some good builds and see if they can make a difference :thumb:

with all the new builds around here i am surprised more of you guys aren't jumping on these...not much longer to get in on this buy. so HURRY UP:thumb:

Its because we are all cheap scates :rofl: I would like a set but my bolts were free , kind tuff to pony up 4 bones , unless my bolts fail , but if i was building a street type truck I would probably buy a set .

thats the point of a group buy buddy, so it aint 400 bucks it could be 300. i'm just as cheap as anyone, so cheap in fact that i will still search online for weeks for sales and coupons to save 50 bucks. after hearing Johnboy's story about tearing through the metal structure of the mount, i figured that it was too much trouble to thicken the stock ones and drill them out etc. then you still have the stock rubber on the pass side unless you weld a piece in to limit it to movement of say 1/4". i don't know, it just seemed logical to support Eric's work because they are such a nice piece and actually fill a niche.

Are you guys still working on the group buy?? I might buy a set, since my drivers side is shot, and GM want's $130.00 for one side:rolleyes:

No the group buy is done. More then 10 guys bought them I would imagine 1 of them will sell you one of there old motor mounts. Post over on DP on the group buy thread.
