I'm looking at a set of slicks for the race van, and I have narrowed it down to these 3. Anyone have any input on these? I know a few guys run the M&H nostalgia slicks in the smaller size. I have seen a few guys running these Mickey Thompsons. I don't think I've seen anyone with any Hoosiers. Anyone know which ones would hook better? Some of them say a tube is required. Is there any reason why you couldn't run without a tube? Here are some links to them on Summit.

We have ran the nostalgias without tubes and worked well but would lose pressure if they set up for any time. Bit they worked on the 2wd truck

Did you run the 12.00/16 or the 13.00/16? What kind of 60' times were you able to get out of them?

The 13x16's will be a great tires... I like M&H. I would call them direct prices will be cheaper and shipping is much cheaper going through John

Do they give you a better price over the phone than what they show on their website? I think the price on their site was actually a little higher than Summit. I guess John is someone who works for M&H? I'll call and talk to him tomorrow.

No matter what the tire your going to need to screw them, id go with holder or m&h. I'm a big believer in m&h radials so id put trust in their slick, lots of the ls truck guys run hoosers with lots of luck. I'm running a set of mickys that do ok but ill be getting a set of hoosers next.

I'm hoping I don't have to put in rim screws. I did some searching, and some offroad guys have been using different kinds of adhesive on the bead so they don't blow it off at the low pressures they run. I was thinking of trying something like that. If it doesn't work, I'll put on rim screws.
