I lowered the front of my truck about 2 1/2 inches, put HD tie rods on and got an alignment and new wheels and tires.

The way I bought it...

looks good! how do your cv angles look since you lowered it down?

They are 200% better, the previous owner tightened the torsion bars up until they couldnt be tightened anymore so they were at an extreme angle and tore up the one on the passenger side (which is the next thing I'm replacing)

Now my CV shafts are level with the ground, once I replace the passenger shatf my 4x4 will be ready to go. Does anyone know of a good place to get CV shafts?

Truck looks good but I like the chrome rims better on yours for some reason. Just looked clean!

Thanks coker, I thought about keeping the chrome rims but after shopping for tires to replace what was on there was going to be about $1400. I went to a 17 inch rim and I love the look of the red letter Grabbers and got it all for $1740. I'm planning on black Rhino lining the steps, rmoving the chrome trim on the doors and tinting the taillights. I think that after I do all that stuff the black rims will look better.

Looks a lot better :thumb: nice to see you back on the good forum :roflmao:

Ha Ha... I've really not been on either forum to much. They've really cracked down on us using our phones at work, and I hardly have any time to surf the web at the house. We need to meet up and shoot the shit sometime. Are you gonna go to the Dairy Pull in Hico in November?

when are you gonna pull the badges molding and nerf bars?

I'm not sure when I'm gonna do that stuff. A guy I work with does bodywork on the side and said he could do the molding and taillights. I'm probably gonna leave the badges. As far as the steps I've got to shop around and see what it'll cost to get the Rhino lined. I've got to leave the steps on because my GF is little.

You can get the molding off with dental floss and use either goof off or bug and tar remover to get the adhesive off, but have you seen any of your buddies body work?

You can get spray on lens tint at autozone. I used it. Looks great and hasn't chipped at all.
