I got a wild hair today and decided to lower my truck a bit. I have the RCD 6" kit so I put the truck up on the lift and loosened the torsion bar bolts until they were just snug enough so they wouldnt move when the truck was in the air.

I put it back on the ground, it has a pretty decent rake to it now. I am gonna try and put a smaller block in the back, hopefully it will be a bit more level after that. The only problem i have at the moment is the RCD bumpstops are huge, and the lower A-arms are riding on them.

I am going to try and put either some Rancho or Tuff-Country bumpstops on in their place. Maybe it will ride a bit better. The tires rub pretty bad on anything more than an easy turn, i think it has to do with the offset and width of the rims. But I am trying to find some 3rd Gen dodge wheels and some 33's to put on instead.

I did my first 4wd boosted launch with the lower setup, ALL of the jumping around is GONE!!!! I took a co-worker of mine for a ride after work, boosted it up to 10lbs. and let her rip, the front tires squealed and it took off straight and true!!!! I am happy as hell!!!!!! All I need is the new tires and rims and the bumpstops and I will be in business!!!!!!

Yea.. I love the look on folks faces when the Duramax crowd shows up at the track around here...

We role in 3- D-max's deep, 2 Buddies both with LB7's and my LLY..

We drop the tailgates and pull out floor jacks and sections of 2x8's for the jack to sit on and raise the front of the truck... My buddies wedges up under there with a Pull-handle and socket and drops his bars..

The thing looks like you bagged the front only.. Sitting on 33's and no aftermarket lift looks funny..

EVERYONE AT THE TRACKS LOOKS AT US LIKE IDIOTS!!

I actually keep my bars at stock hieght even with my 285's and I never had any problems but I have video of my buddies LB7 jumping all around unless he lowers his bars!!!

It's nice to see a raked D-max killing Camaros and 5.0 on test and tune night then driving home while they carefully load their rides back on the trailer.

I need to get my Sleeves put on and do some testing too!!!!

jeff i have a set of 3rd gen dodge wheels on 33's and i cant run them every day because of the offset when you turn the rub on the a-arms and sway bar and have chewed my tires up bad. i only use them for pilling now and i think they look better than h2 wheels, the wheels are the ones in my sig
