lower radiator hose - $137?!?!

Anybody know why GM wants around $137 for it:eek:

gold/platium/uranium/plutonium plated or something

haha yep we just priced one for our 02 and it was like 168 or sumthn outrageous. i believe they have sumthn made on to them

If you've ever seen one, you would probably understand why they are so expensive. There are actually two hoses T'ed into it (one for the heater core return and one for the coolant tank), and the LBZ and newer trucks have a plastic coupling on the radiator end with an o-ring in it to seal it to the radiator outlet.

Dont loose the small c clip retainer on the plastic molded hose part or you will be buying a whole new hose... I dont know that or anything...LOL

They probably could have. It's a good way for them to make more money. But because of the good info from Henry, it will keep us from having to pay $140 just for a $5 clip. :D

Same thing happen to me when my mechanic at the time broke one of the clips on the fuel line. Had to pay $185 for the fuel line. Hopefully with the help here that will never happen again.
