Any one have experience with any. We are looking at buying another one. We are looking at a trail king. Needs to be 55 ton. Any brands that you prefer over the other. Opinions please

I like Talbert. I have used a couple of 55 ton Talberts and they are real nice. we have a 200 ton Talbert at work, about 14 x 70 foot, works just as good as a 55 ton NGB. I have dealt with Trail Kings and they work fine, but I don't feel like they are as high quality. I have always wanted to check out a XL Specialized, but haven't seen one in person. I would also look at Fontaine, they have pretty good prices around here, but again, I doubt they would match the Talbert for quality.

I will look into those as well. The people we buy a bunch of our thermo kings from carry the trail kings and said they could get us a new 55ton for around 60,000.

That's about what one would cost around here. You probably wouldn't go wrong with the Trail King, but definitely shop around, they all have something a little different about them in the way the neck works. I don't know if you can still get one without the hydraulic support that holds the neck up when you detach it, but I hope not.

Make sure they have heavy steel in them, some use sheet metal for structural members. Fine unless they rust out, which they do. Good Luck.

I really Like a Murray trailer out of California If you dont mind a mechanical gooseneck. I like JC trailers out of ontario also but Dont know how far south they sell them. Talbert and trailking are good, id give the nod to a talbert but either would do the job.
