Kansas when I am home
Well my old lady was driving home from work after a 11 hour day and it has been 27 days since her last day off. Her light turns green and she pulls out only to be clipped by a driver running the red light, obvious he had no job dressed like trash, looked high to me. I haul ass from the house to go get to my gal and make sure she is okay.

She is fine just shakin up, and then here comes the indian brigade, native amercans from the rez north of us. I have never in my life had to tell an old lady if she didn't get away we were gonna have an issue. She just kept coming back and trying to convince my girl that she screwed up. The intersection where the accident happened had traffic cams... But this town doesn't even run them all the time, they cost too much I am told!!! So there is no proof of fault, so I am sure we will be screwed.

Anyway the Cruze is crunched pretty good, no air bags out but there are several welds cracked on the nose but it is driveable minus some serious rubbing. Adjuster comes tomorrow we will see what happens. We got her the car last year it was her first ever new car and she loves it to death, finger crossed it can be rebuilt. I don't know about unibody chassis and how well they can be repaired... We will see

Does your state have no-fault insurance laws? Thats going to be one hefty repair bill.

Man that sucks Jordan, sorry to see this.

When we were living in Canada my wife & I were driving home from church on Sunday morning and some jack ass blew throw a stop sign going 50+ mph in a 30mph zone and hit our Impala right in the passenger side front door where my wife was sitting.
We were very luck in that I was able to throw the car in reverse and try chase after him but he was long gone as soon as I turned my head after he hit us.

We were in a town surrounded by 3-4 reservations and in the spring time they had public service announcements telling people to not pick up needles on the side walks, haha.

It took about 6 months to get canadian insurance to pay us, it sucked.

Sorry for the rant, it just pisses me off.

1)
I'm sorry to hear about this, it sucks...
2)
If you suspect the other driver was high, I'd get a lawyer involved ASAP!
Work as fast as you can and demand to have his blood tested.
3)
No insurance=no drive...if he didn't have insurance he is automatically at fault
4)
Traffic cams or not, were there any witnesses? Get them involved ASAP as well, it's inconvenient but necessary.
5)
An investigation should be able to determine fault, period.
Speed being the most attainable and recognizable influence here, if the guy was runnin a red, he was more than likely speeding, and you can argue the likelihood and feasibility of running a red or jumping a green...

I hope you get all this taken care of in an honest and fair manner, best of luck, I hope your gal feels ok in/over he next few days and following month-

Jason

Affirmative KS is a no fault state... $500 deductible so it isn't bad, but its $500 I could put in my truck or AR... OR maybe somthng for the old lady, maybe...

The other guys insurance looked at it today which I think is odd, but he told my gal not to drive it, as its not safe... I call BS Crash bars are cracked but rad is fine front end seems straight just looks more like a low rider from the front with every mile traveled.

Sorry to hear about the accident and shady people...in northern MN when Natives break the law or are driving drunk off Rez they just run from the cops to the res. They often get away sadly.
