Well schitt.

My truck is cursed! It has cracked two alli tail house extensions, a rear engine cover & this is the 2nd bell housing. And judging by the oil everywhere, I'm guessing the rear housing is cracked again too. IDK why it keeps having these odd failures. Previously I chalked it up to bad ujoints but it doesn't have any vibrations right now. Only thing it does is go into gear pretty hard & shift kinda harshly when it's cold. Doesn't do either of those too bad once warmed up.

Wish it would do me a favor & develop a fire & burn to the ground.

That's what was assumed was wrong the first time the rear cover & bell housing cracked. Thought for sure the dowels would be missing but they were there. I didn't do the R&R but I assume they're in there.

OEM with 200k miles on them now.

I know I have/had a set of bolted OEM mounts I was going to use in the 83 and I honestly can't remember if I had them installed in this truck when the bell & rear cover cracked last time. I just can't remember.

Really check those mounts (engine and trans)

Current plan of action is IDK WTF I'm going to do. I'm hoping it will spontaneously combust in my driveway. I have a bell and adapter plate I can probably use to fix it but they are still in the donor truck parked beside my broken one. So I'll have to pull two engines and two trans to put one back together. FML that sounds terrible.

Anyone want to buy my beaten and broken truck? Reckon what I could get for it? :(

Thanks russ. I'll let you know when I get it apart. I haven't verified it, but with the oil leak, I'm assuming the adapter plate is cracked too. It was the last time this happened. And then obviously the bellhousing is busted but I may be able to source one elsewhere.
