losing prime

i have a 07 LBZ that keeps loosing prime. any ideas why or what to check on it?

Pump the primer on top of the fuel filter and see if anything comes out of the bottom. Over tighting will crack it at the wires in the bottom. Just a thought.

Cracked bleed screw, cracked housing or defective diaphram in the primer itself would be the first things to check.

tried to bleed it and re prime and found the drain leaks. it is tight but pours out when pump up filter. would this make it start hard. when it is runnig it runs fine but will start hard.

i hope i can pick one up a my local dealer. is this a common problem that comes up?

I had one do it and I saw one on a buddy's truck. I have also broke em by trying to go a little tighter. They will split to and for what they are the cost is a little high I think. Around 70 bucks
