I'm confused so what is new...LOL My ??? is when my truck set and idle for 15mins or longer coolant comes out the overflow, but I just drove 800 miles towing 15000 lbs. and I never lost a drop.. Which leads me to believe it's not a Headgasket. Heads are studed and cometic gaskets. any thoughts???

I changed the cap, I thought about the water pump but I know it's gear driven so I didn't think u could've any trouble with it, is there a way to check it cause it's a job to change it....:)

First thing I would do is rule out combustion leaking by. Start it up with the cap off and look for air bubbles would be my first check. Knowing an LB7, there is a good chance an injector cup is leaking. If no air bubbles start out of it then I would say definately check the water pump for a spun impeller which is also a fairly common issue for the DURAMAX.
