ok so i designed this intake and im looking for a idea to filter it. I cant restrict the air too much but at the same time i cant be sand blasting my turbo. My best thought is an outwear filter cover but i would like to find some kind of completely flat filter. something screen like? im open to ideas and suggestions???

You might try looking for snowmobile vent material. It is fine enough so stop snow from entering but it flows air. Frogzskin is one that comes to mind. Should stop dust without much restriction.

Good ideas Tony! Bill's setup is super clean but it will not be easy to keep the air clean while maintaining the clean look that it has.

those look like they would work great tony. if i can find that stainless material in a flat rectangular pattern then cut to fit it would be the cats ass.
thanks for the idea. with this tct wheel on this turbo i need to keep it as open to airflow as possible.

What about a stainless steel marine flame arrestor ??

I don't know if they have them in a big enough size to fit or not ??

im checking out this frogzskin material. it looks pretty interesting and like it might work. as long as it is rigid enough to resist being sucked in unless i make a mesh skeleton for it.

this frogzskin stuff is pretty interesting and comes in large sizes so i can cut to fit. this might be the ticket. i might try this out if i can figure out how to attach it.

A lot of guys will custom fit it over something with a bit more structure. But that's also as a vent. Not really any vacuum being pulled in the snowmobile application. I would think wrapping it around that mesh you already have then securing it tp the back of the frame would work. Especially if it is bolted to the fender. It should hold right in there
