Looking for someone to chime in on a good website or place to buy turbo kit parts such as flanges, bends, piping, boots, and clamps and oil lines. I have a MIG, hydro cooled ban saw and plasma cutter here st my access and am building off my current s369 single.

Secondly does anyone know what the exhaust flange size is on a sxe369 with a 91 housing? Can't find any info online. Thanks in advance

Look at ATP Turbo or Race Parts Solutions. The turbo flange is a T4. The down pipe flange is a Mormon flange. I would have it ground flat and make sure to put a groove/alignment ring in the down pipe to slide into the back if the turbo housing. It will seal up much better if you do so.

Mormon flanges suck. they are usually all worn out. like throwing a hotdog down the hallway.
use a Marmon flange instead :roflmao:

Starting some basic part orders as far as clamps and fittings go. I believe i made the decision to step down from a sxe369/74/.91 to a sxe364.5/74/.91 over a box480/96/1.32 and NOT run a gate, possibly end up around 850hp range, if not step up to a billet 480, and if that doesnt work step up to a sxe366 in the valley

PM me a price if you are interested in selling the 369, I'm really only interested in the supercore, so you could keep the .91 housing for whatever you decide to put on it.

However, everyone I have talked to has said spool differences between S364.5-S369 are so negligible it's not worth running the smaller size unless you downsize to the68 turbine on an S364.5, which I would gate but it sounds like you are trying to avoid gating.

I'm trying to avoid gating at the moment due to added cost and trying to plumb one in. Ive talked to a few guys running them and they say a 364.5 and box 480 would almost be good for 1k. Although they are gated. Thought about trying a 1.1 housing on the 364.5

Send JoshH a message or maybe he will chime in here. He is pushing his 364.5/480 setup pretty hard in the shop truck with the new built motor. I would venture to say he is north of your horsepower goal very easily based on the fuel he is throwing at it right now. :woott:

The drivability and performance of that setup continues to impress me. Way more drivable than my 369/488 setup was.

a modded stock and 480 on top have been track proven to 900hp. my setup should be hovering right around the 1k mark once finished. both setups run more fuel than you have currently though

jsut a thought as its stockish turbo so quick spool up, turbo brake comes back, and vanes work as your "gate".

I will have to send JoshH a message here soon. Ive been gathering some v band clamps and fittings to do the hot side pipe and downpipe, i have yet to come up with a plan of attack for the charge pipe. I believe im going to purchase a twin turbo mount bracket from wherli and then fabricate from there since they already have a good idea of where to place it under the hood.

Next question, whats everyone doing for a coolant tank? Extending the lines and mounting the factory bottle back by the fire wall?

As far as A/c lines go i assume everyone bends them very carefully in order to dodge kinks etc..

Lastly oil feed and drain, where is the best place to tap into for oil supply? i would like to stay away from the second main bearing due to crank failures..my valley is plugged off and i use the port down by the oil filter to feed my s300 at the moment.

Thank you all to have contributed in helping my decision!

A cheap canton aluminum tank from summit on the firewall works very well. Just weld a bung I to it for the low coolant sensor.

Ive got most clamps and flanges ordered, down to a battery relocate bracket to mount underneath the radiator and then picking my pipe out.
Whats everyone using as far as thickness goes? As of now its going to be made out of mild steel or stainless. Been looking at using 3 inch for my hot pipe betweeen charger exhausts, wasnt sure what guage of steel to use. 16 guage seems to be most common, although i want to do this the correct way and never have any pipe blowouts

it is. just dynoed last weekend making 789/1243. just looking to have a quicker spooling setup, not so outrageously loud exhaust, and better low end torque for towing.
