Im done with my '20 F250 and ready to go back to GM. I'm trying to figure out if if I want a newer truck or an older one.

I've had great luck with all my 6.0 trucks. Put almost 300k on 3 of them. The 6.0 are getting a little older then I think I want. How are the 6.6 gasser holding up? What about the '20+ trucks themselves? The 15s-19s trucks had some problems but they seem to hold up ok.

We had a few 6.6L at my previous job. They where pretty new but never had any issues. The transmission was definitely better. Good power but nothing compared to what my Duramax could do but better then the 6.0. Liked that they added the tap shift buttons.

I didn't have enough seat time behind any long enough to know what the MPGs averaged out to

We had a ford F350 that was a dog. Couldn't accelerate worth a damn. It did alright with a load but was slow and merging onto the highway was painful. The GM6.6 would walk away from it easy.

We service a few fleet trucks with 6.6 gas in them. Couple of them are a little over 100,000 thousand miles and really haven’t done anything more than maintenance on them. One of them had an issue with the outside temperature sensor, but that’s because water got behind the mirror and ate away the pin inside the plug.

Driving a 24 w/ the 6.6 gas and 10-speed now for work. The 10 speed is a nice transmission for sure. The fuel economy is decent as I can get high 15s/low 16s on the freeway empty. Towing is fine. If I had to drag anything around (8k+) with any sort of regularity, I would definitely go diesel. I HATE the seats in the GM twins. Other than that, it’s a solid work truck. We have around 30 of the 6.6 gassers and they get whooped out on ROW and other duties and so far they have been solid. The main complaint is the uncomfortable 20+ GM seats/cabs.

Hahaha yeah in its wildest. Mind you freeway speeds are 75+. I could squeak 18 out of it I bet if I held back to under 70.
