Can't have a convo with anybody else about this stuff. Need to get out a dmax rant! Had an lly water pump job scheduled today, had all day to work on it but had to fiddle with an lml with poor fluid quality message that wouldn't clear..so I worked on that til 1030.

Finally got to the lly and took the shroud off and went to take the fan off and dammit if I didn't break all our fan holders (little pegs kept snapping off) never had any trouble with that before so after lunch I went to the parts store to get a new holder and immediately broke that one too!! And the snap on truck doesn't come til tomorrow! So I figured I was screwed..til our master diesel guy gave me an idea..

In a last ditch effort I beat the ever living piss out of it with an air hammer and it finally broke loose! I was so pissed off at the truck that I had it done by 430 and drove across the street and grabbed a case of bud. Holy crap it was a long day and sorry for the long post! (Rant off lol)

^ yea I'm gonna see what they have for those on the truck tomorrow, I asked everybody but nobody had one lol, usually I give it a quick wack with a hammer and they come right off. It was so frustrating that something simple like that was costing me money lol

ive totally been in that same position before it sucks. after fighting a couple different fans i bought one of the fan clutch tools that the air hammer hooks to, total overpriced tool but the fact that i don't have to curse and throw things is nice

may seem expensive but this is one of the best tools I ever bought! started having to keep it locked up because every time I went to use it someone in the shop will have "borrowed" it.
