Truck as a horrible surge at idle and it's not the normal one you hear about... I'm thinking it's the FPR... maybe? will this cause a surge and how do you log it with efi and tell if it's going bad... Thanks

also is there anything else that would make it surge?

even if you dont log the fpr , you can log actual pressure VS desired and if the fpr is the culprit you will see the pressure increase above desired either full time or in surges that will match what you see on the rpm , if you do log the reg to check for tuning issue's log the regulator current .
