ok so gonna start my locker however i have studied my diff in the truck and i have a 6 in..lift. It looks like it is gonna be hell to get the diff out. Can i get it out without pulling the drag links and tie rods or the lower support member for the a-arms or does one or the other have to come out. or do both have to come out to get the diff out?

When did mine i had to disconnect the center link from the steering box since when i rolled the diff down the ear tab was hitting center link, and IIRC i removed the lower support.

i have a pro comp also so your sayin just the steering centerlink huh. did you reove it completely or just from the steer box. its a big bastard compared to a half ton. i have installed on a half but not on larger unit that thing just looks big and hard to squeeze out

On mine, with no lift and before the cognito pieces were installed we unbolted the steering box from the frame. That gave just enough play to pivot the differential around the lower bolt while using a pry bar on the center link. Not sure what the lift does, but it might be something worth staring at for a minute or two; the steering box is 3 easy bolts....

the lift usually makes it easier cause everything is lowered however mine has a drop stabilizer bar that runs with the steering linkage and it is right up against and in the way

after i unhooked the center link from steering box i turned the wheel all the way to the left and rotated the axle down. i used the helm book as a guide but it didnt say anything about disconnectn the center link just turning the wheel all the way to the left. Sometimes they leave out some important info.

Pull the centerlink out completely. It's not bad at all. The diff will drop right out.
