Locker and gear questions

Rear end ring and pinion are junk as well as the factory G80. Thinking the true trac is the best bet for a locker since I daily drive her. Should I go with a factory gear set or Yukon gears? Not looking to blow it up again.

factory gears are your best bet. There are a lot of reports of Yukon gear sets being noisy

As noisy as when the factory ones are blown up lol??? Thats good to know though. I don't want to ruin it as a saily driver and occasional work truck

its pretty common to blow the g80 when doing burnouts all the time.... if you dont catch it in time it causes more damage...if you take care of it or use a different posi unit and set it up properly, you wont have any more issues with a factory gear set

Sounds good. Definitely keep that in mind. I've cut back on burning tire since I got the new rubbers but I know once they're down around 50% I'll be back to whipping donuts
