I am currently have an issue with my lock/unlock in my truck. My lock/unlock switch on both doors in my truck does not work at all so I checked the fuses and my unlock was blown but my lock one was not. So I changed out the unlock fuse unlock worked for about three times and then blow the fuse again. However my fob will unlock the doors but it will not lock my doors.

I replaced both relays and still nothing but my unlock button on my fob works. If I try to lock the doors with the fob and then open the door the factory alarm will go and make the horn honk. So the truck is receiving the signal but not locking the doors.

Any thoughts, suggestions, tests to try?

sounds like a bcm going bad but in not sure how to diagnos,do you know any gm mech's that you can get him to check with the tech 2?

Where is the BCM? I do not know anyone that has a Tech 2. But I know a guy that might be able to get a hold of one.

check harness at door jamb. may be a short

Would that cause my fob not too work or both door lock switches to not work?

I know with some cars that if drivers switch is disconnected / circuit not complete, none of the other doors work. can you hear relay click with key fob?

I will have to test that tomorrow. I didn't hear it last time I tried but I wasn't standing very close to really be able to hear.

How do you know its not the unlock assembly itself? I've replaced 3 on my truck (driver front, pass front, driver rear) over the last couple years

If the master control in the drivers door goes bad they all can quit working and yes if the bcm is bad it will do alot of different things some things will still work and some will not if memorie serves its behind the glove box and i believe you need the tech to to diagnos and to program the new body control module the last 1 i helped do was in an 01 alero and i think it was 300 at my buddies cost and he had to program it

Well I maybe leaning toward the BCM because my power mirrors aren't working either and they are on the same fuses/relays as the locks are if I remember right.

Yeah sounds like it,next the interrior lights will quit working thats what happen to the olds we did.But have it check to make sure, the part isnt cheap and once programed you cant return it.
