So, one thing Ive missed almost as much as the lack of power Ive been without is a quality stereo system.

In my 05 I had Alpine screens (D300, D310, W200) and 3 JL subs. In the 08 I hadn't done anything and was under the thought of leaving it stock as the Bose sounded decent.

Ive decided I want to do components up front and rear, amped, as well as at least 1, probably 2 subs.

I like the look of my dash with everything integrated and smooth flowing. I also have LTZ so stereo wheel controls, XM, etc.

I guess Im going to need to ditch the head unit, so Id like to go with an Alpine video unit more than likely, unless anyone else has any other recommendations.

Anyone have pics of LMM interiors with screens in? I assume its easy enough to utilize the stock XM antenna for an aftermarket XM receiver, like previously? Also a module available for steering wheel controls and anything else I may need for an LTZ LMM?

Thanks guys!

Have you looked at this one? Seems pretty nice. Even has 5.1 surround sound capability.

I have the one Josh posted a link to.

Best headunit I've ever had. I had the latest and greatest Alpine unit before, the Kenwood is by far the better product IMO..

I have a thread on mine when I installed.

I used to have 2 Kicker CVT10's, but they're unhooked in the garage. Alpine amp hooked to those. I still have the stock speakers.
I assume you are still running through the Bose amp? How does it sound? Have you considered removing all the factory stereo stuff and installing a nice 4 channel amp and some components?

Yep still with the stock Bose amp.

It sounds great. You'll be surprised how much more sound the radio pushes through. I actually think I've blown my Pass front speaker, doesn't sound so good anymore.

For the components, yes I have. If I decide to keep the truck more than likely I will.

The Kenwood actually needs a Genius for the fine tuning, it has more buttons than EFILive.. :D

$1300

That's what it was when it first came out. I got it from eBay. Crutchfield had it listed at $1800.

I'm sure you can get them a little cheaper now as it's been out a little while.

Cool. I've always wanted one. But I'm a tight ass when it comes to toys for the truck. I mean I could barely bring myself to spend $400 on a damn headunit, sub, and amp.

I'd really like to have one, but I'm having a hard time spending that much money on a radio. I found them on eBay for $1050 with free shipping.

And I'm having a hard time giving up the factory in dash 6 disk CD changer.

With one of these and a iPod hooked up, you'll forget about CD's.

I haven't used a CD in a long time now. It's just easier to push the screen for what playlist you want and there you go. No CD switching.

I only have an 8 GB nano, and I have a bunch of CDs that I haven't put on my iTunes yet. I really should. I have an iPod interface that works with my factory radio, and I like it. I really want the bluetooth and built in nav. Being able to watch DVDs would be cool. Not to mention the option for a backup camera. I'm gonna have to recover from the money hemorrhage that was my engine build before I do anything.
