Anybody running a non-vvt turbo on an lmm or lbz? Thinking hard about Trent's billet s366. But would hate to get away from a vvt.

Plenty of trucks running better turbos. If you stick with a VVT , you're only holding yourself back.
That's what I'm beginning to see. But everybody I talk to around here says to stay with a vvt like a 4094. But I like to be a lil different, but I also still want quick spool up
well a 4094 is cool because its just a drop in replacement for the stocker...... but there are plenty 66mm chargers that spool just as quick if not quicker than a stock turbo.the billet turbos are sweet. trent will surely steer you in the right direction.
My buddy Tyler (08lmm) just had Dustin @ Diesel Addiction install a s366 billet double batmowheel turbo with a race cover, 100 over injectors and stage 3 pump. By far the fastest spooling truck I've ever ridden in. It would rip the tires loose at 60 mph 50 lbs of boost. Sounds pretty cool too!
Like the sound of that! So there is a billet and double batmo wheel version? So there are batmo wheels for compressor and exhaust?
Yea I've definitely thought about that. But kinda want to do something a lil different. And I want something to make a nasty twin setup with after I put some rods in it.

I am running 366 billet and 480 billet EPR, everytime I drive the truck I have a new smile on my face!
drive pressusre is killer! small exhaust housing makes egt's soar through the roof and creates to much drive pressure which can damage your turbo.
or put a hole in your piston as several using 4094's have already experienced.
id do a s374 or s475 billet and be done with it.
some batmowheels have been dyno proven to loose HP vs their billet counterparts so at this point i would recommend doing a billet 366 w/ race cover if your worried about both spool and power.
fwiw the batmo wheel is a huge sales gimmic. IMO
