Found this issue when I was pulling a trailer and went to manually down shift.

Tow haul still works
When I pull it down into manual mode it will stay in whatever gear it's in and won't shift up or down

Any insight on this guys?

Thanks joe

Could just be the shifter assembly. Best way of knowing of course is with a tech 2 and seeing if the TCM is receiving the tap up/down shift signal from the lever. sorry I don't have better insight then that

My fathers did this the other day on his lly. Once you tap it down it sticks in that gear. I think he cycled the ignition on the side of the road and it was fine after that. When i talk to him ill ask what he did.

Try calling the vendor you bought it from. Why would you ask this here?

I think he's asking about this on an LMM Mike. So it would be factory. Not an add on like the LB7 or LLY trucks.

I've never seen this issue before so I don't know. But maybe a nsbu switch issue. But I agree you need a tech 2 to see what's going on.

No matter what this stays the same.

I had an 06 lbz I just sold and that button don't work half the time it didn't seem like.. So I could believe it could be just the button..

Tap Shift

I would bet a broken wire on the shifter. Snap on or Tech 2 should tell you if its working. I have a shifter in stock if you need it.

Check the ign 0 fuse in the little fuse compartment right by driver door.. that was the problem on an lbz
