Lately I've been noticing a knocking/ chattering sound coming from my truck. Mostly can notice it while trucks under load(accelerating) I've tried just slowly applying throttle in neutral but haven't heard it(turbo might mask it some). My injector rates or within spec so Im guessing its not those. Tomorrow I got a helper to maybe pin point more exact noise location. Planning on changing the fuel filter tomorrow, check pulleys, exhaust, any part I can. Truck is a 08 LMM with efi by kory dsp5 (running stock tune) and a 4 inch turbo back. Bought the truck roughly 4 months ago with 163k on it, now has 171k. I don't beat it cuz it is my daily driver and I don't want to have the extra expenses of broke parts. I don't remember hearing the noise when I got it but now its there. My mind is telling me internal (rod, lifters) but I'm really hoping not since Ive only owned this 4 months( not close to being paid off). 1st diesel owned. Any help or suggestions or extremely appreciated.
