LMM: Power mirror/window switch

Hi guys, I was working on a 2008 LMM last night and there is something funny going on with the switch on the drivers side door. The power lock button doesn't work and the power mirror function doesn't work. The windows do work. I realized the 2 amp fuse for the power mirrors was blown so I replaced it. Immediately I heard a bubbling like sound and the switch started smoking and smoke started to roll out of the door panel. I pulled the new fuse right away and it stopped. Anyone ever seen this before?

yes in the steering column of my F250 superduty.. hazard switch shorted and smoked, fuse was hot but had not blown freaked me out I was plowing at the time so truck had been running over 12 hours straight. pulled the column apart and unplugged the hazard switch threw it on the seat and continued on til the next day put it all back together could not find anything wrong all ok so far.. who the hell knows what was shorting out..

so should I just replace the switch?
