So my buddy has an LMM and wants to run some 40 overs. He came across a good deal on some LBZ nozzles and bought them to have honed to avoid downtime on his truck.

Do LMM and LBZ flow the same? I know the hole count is different but everything I've seen stated they flow approx the same? He's getting conflicting reports and doesn't know how much to hone the LBZ nozzles to equal an LMM 40 over.

Do the two actually flow different? or is the difference not worth taking into effect?

From what I've seen in tuning and logging, LMM injectors don't flow as much as LBZs. I've never actually seen flow sheets on them though. I'm just going by how rail pressure acts with different pulse widths.

Hey Josh - I took the plunge and sent the LBZ nozzles out to EH to be honed 40 over. DMAXChris thinks they will be somewhere closer to an LMM honed 60 over.

I'm doing some research now to figure out what pulsewidth to run. I'm looking to make the same power as my stock nozzles do at 3200us.

Once I get that sorted out, I will use your EXCELLED spreadsheet again to get my timing table generated :)

I would appreciate ANY pointers!!!

TNX!
