Can a 2005 5 speed bell housing be used on a LMM 6 speed (does not have the bell housing sensor) into a complete transmission that will work on a LBZ.?

Thanks, now I have the rebuildable core I need for the just-in-case scenario. Now to part out the 5 speed and get rid of the LMM transfer case...:thumb:

Mike what year is the 5 speed from? Looking for a buddy...he's got an 02 but trying to locate a core that would work as if he builds it'd be a quick day swap

Nothing yet and going to sell it at some point, still in the back of the truck needing both transmission and transfer case to be drained. The 2007 LMM truck it was removed from had about 150,000 miles, good shape but had snapped the crank and I talked to the owner a little before purchasing the whole assembly. I though it was an LBZ in the ad turned out to be a LMM truck and found that out when I seen the one missing sensor at the bell housing and the truck, bought it anyhow..
