Those who've weighed them what did they come out to? I need an idea on how much water to put in my redneck sledpulling ballast.

Are you gonna pull in 2wd or 4x4

4wd, and 120 gallons of water for starters, should be able to weigh in, I'll prolly be over, drain a few gallons and weigh again till its 8000lbs, thanks Dave, I'm guessing my truck should come out pretty close to that figure as well.

1/2 tank of fuel, me in the truck(170lbs), spare removed, PYO's with drag radials on.

You should be able to easily add 1000# and not be over weight.

Well i know a tank of water would be the easiest but you will pull alot better if your extra weight is in the front remember the sled is pulling down on your truck so the the extra weight in the front will help you get better traction to all 4 tires go around the pits and look at the pro mod 4x4 gas burners you can pick the back end of there truck up and turn them around

It was just workstock NADM rules, otherwise, I'm building a box, smelting some lead bricks for weights, for my other truck.
