LMM Ambient Interior Lighting

Does anyone know if they have a kit out or full map light replacement that has a ambient light that shines down into the center console just like the newer trucks? I used a 2014 1500 for a few weeks and that was one of my favorite things that it had. It was amazing for the console to be visible when driving at night but the light is so faint that it does not affect visibility. I would think someone would come out with either a kit or a new map light unit that has it built in. Hopefully someone knows.

Wouldn't be hard to drill and wire in a tiny counter-sunk LED hooked up to the inadvertent power supply located at the map lights. The LED would be lit up anytime the BCM is awake just like the new trucks. I wouldn't mind doing this to my truck.

Ya it is definitely doable. Wish there was a map light replacement piece that had it built in haha

Thats the OEM. Sure you would have to buy or rig a harness to it.

What color is the factory ambient light? I've been wanting to do something like this for my plow truck. My first thought was a dual brightness map light like some flashlights have by turning them on and off to select modes. Just having a dim led seems much simpler.

I think it is a Amber color of some sort.
