I was just wondering how many people are using a predator "DIABLO SPORT" on their truck? I decided to go with diablosport/predator over the eflive due to previous exp with the predator in my 06 mustang gt which turned out to be great.

I on occasion haul 3 horses 12,000lbs including trailer. I was wondering what would be the best tune to use? I am assuming the stock tow tune which gives hp/torque not sure how much though?

I tried using the 80hp tune and when I gunned it it felt weird shifting maybe from 4-5th gear is what it felt like it has issues. I tried researching and havn't found much help on this tune. What is the best tune to use when I am just going for MPG ? the 60hp tune?

I also have a K&N intake that I will be installing and need a tune for it. I dont think i'll be doing much more upgrading as california has extremely strict smog requirements. I thought about doing a turbo back exaust but that takes money and time as well as need to make sure its smog legal here in good ol fresno CA

My dad leaves his on the 120hp tune, and so do I. He sees about 20-21 mpg in his Lbz and I see 21-22mpg in my zf6 lb7. The 120 hp tune can be a little rough on a stock trans but if you drive sensible its ok. My dads has been on that tune since it was new with 200 miles on it, he's now got almost 100K and it still drives perfect. He does not tow with it though, he turns it down to the tow or 60hp one.

By sensible, do you mean not gun it? I probably at most get it to 3,000 rpm and rarely gun it all the way. Average shifting is about 2-2500 shifting. I am going to try running the 120 and see how that works? If the 120 is the most rough, how is it the best for MPG assuming you dont gun it all the time.

*BUMP* How much wear does the 120 hp tune do to your truck? I am running the 40hp tune as I probably tow about every 3-4 days if not more. I am getting about 13.5-14mpg just city/freeway driving still. I drive my truck at 2,000 rpms getting it upt ot he speed limit i go up to 2500 and once and a blue moon 3000 rpms?m any thoughts or ideas? I do feel the power difference.

Yeah by sensible I mean don't floor it on every take off. If you drive it like you're saying you do I would think you'd be fine. As for the hottest tune giving the best milage, I really don't know why it's like that. That has just been our experiences. Maybe someone else will chime in who knows more than me :thumb:
And as far as wear, my dad hasn't seen any negative affects. He Just keeps the fuel filter changed and drives it, 100k miles and counting
