The GVWR #s are for the F450 vs. the 3500 GMprobably just as mad as GM is at ford for releasing higher towing/GVWR numbers than them....
Does it have something to do with Insurance? Keep it under that 400 numberno...

Thats quite the difference 10 years later from the 2001 Dmax, LML power would probably limp the 01s Allison
no kiddin! glad i got a built trans lol.
My dad should have waited till july to get his new truck but he just had to get one now. thats another 100 ft lbs of tq hes missin out on!
They may have them beat for now, but GM is using the new SAE rating standards while Ford is using the old method. I'd still like to see how they all stand against each other in a 4wd CC dually configuration that most people would buy for towing.no its for F-350 vs. 3500 GM, like I said before. :

I guess he changed his mind...3hp makes the difference between not blowing up and blowing up? HUH? Jeez theres gotta be that much difference in just manufacturing tolerances.
Well Im glad they have it tuned *right to the edge* of blowing up. That should make it pretty reliable in the hugely varied applications that may not have been seen in testing but will be seen in the real world.
