LML services due at 60k

[Big Block 88]

LML is over 60k now and it is needing an oil change, I don't have the book here and the truck is out on the road. I would like to have all the service materials on hand when it returns and unhooks it will be turing around and leaving with another trailer that day so I need to be quick

My question is for the LML what is recommended to be serviced at 60k? Obviously it will get oil and filter and fuel filter as they are due anyway. Is the trans needing anything? transfer? axles? coolant?

I can't speak for now but back in 1998 when we bought 2 new farm pickups, the book said to change the axle oil at 35k if I remember right.

If it were me being its seeing some heavy loaded miles I would change the oil in the front diff, rear axle, transfer case, and new allison spin on filter. If the oil from the allison looks questionable when changing filters I could see if you can send it in to get tested. Your coolant should be fine, just look at it to make sure it doesn't look terrible.

I'm no expert Jordan so I hope others comment so you get second opinions, haha.

Thanks man, yeah I am just not sure anymore on the new trucks. I typically wait till 70k on axles on the newer trucks, but this lml is seeing huge loads now. we may have gone a bit too big on the new trailer, but till the lml has no issues with power but its suspension is possibly having issues by looking at tire wear.

I wish I had the book to look, I would call my sister and sask her to read the book to me on recommended service but I don't think she understands that stuff

Actually I have been using the electronic ones much easier. Even put the ZR1 on Pat's kindle for him to read

My thinking is if you are seeing severe duty like that, you should shorten your maintenance intervals to match. Those fluids are certainly cheaper than replacing broken/worn out parts. Russ pretty much hit on everything I would look at.
I'd treat constant heavy towing similar to a drag racing or sled pulling schedule.

I change the oil at 5k transfer and diffs every 15k, trans filter @5k and fluid at 30k. Brake fluid and hydro boost every 2 years. Air filter every other year and AD and CAT fuel filters every 6k

Got her all done, I did let the dealer do a trans flush on it and the transfer and axles, I had to leave in a hurry to come up to Michigan for a family thing, so all I did was oil and filter and fuel filter and greased the front end, the truck did have both upper ball joints bad so I put those in also.

We have got to get the weight transferred off the front end better. I have air bags coming so that should help.

Our maintenance is typically top notch, but this truck has been on the road so much lately I haven't had time to keep up.
