I'm looking at a 2012 duramax with a hole in the block. Do I need to find another LML or can I use the short block or long block out of the LMM I have already?

Correction... the turbo drain is the same on the lml but the turbo oil supply is in a different location. A simple fix looks to be just using the old oil supply tube for the lly, lbz, or lmm. You could plumb the oil supply the same and you would plumb an s300/400 charger

The drain flange at the bell housing is NOT the same on an LML as it is on earlier models. The studs are spaced farther apart on an LML.

Would you elaborate on what all needs to be changed? I have an LMM short block on the engine stand I rebuilt putting in Mahle race cast pictons, balancing & keying and would like to use it but if it's going to be somewhat cobbled up to us it, I'd rather find another LML.

Contact the guy onhere yesterday that has an LML block that was asking the same question about swapping to an LMM block. Maybe y’all can trade. I think his name is kubitza or something
