Im on the side of the road just outside Santa Rosa New Mexico with my toy hauler. I changed the ff yesterday and had trouble threading that plug on the bottom in. It seemed like when i wiuld thread it in all the way it would leak when i primed it so i had to back it out some. I was able to get it to stop and then start it. Made it from fort mojave az to santa rosa nm and truck dash said reduce power kinda sounded like it was running out of gas. Made it to the side of the road and looked at the fuel filter and that little piece looked like it was crooked. I took it out and the seal inside looks like it is all chewed up. I need help!!!

Well I'll be coming through there tomorrow night but you'll be fixed by then. Sounds like you need a new water sensor and filter but that won't happen tonight anymore.......

Wrap some plumbers tape around the wif and reinstall. Sounds like you bought a filter with poor quality bottom threads. Very common.

Didnt seem to be the top part of the piece that threads into the filter. But it was the smaller bottom piece that threads into the one that threads into the filter that if you thread it in too much will allow the fuel to spill out.
