LML EFI Live!!!

buddys friend just got back from a local shop. apparently he got efi live on his lml. I called bs, he says his bill even states efi live. problem being ive seen false bills before. So, this guy got suckered(ive told him up and down, h&s and bully are the only tuners that i know of), or efi can finaly read out the bosch ecm and hasnt made this a public notice...

Would be nice for sure but I'm pretty sure the vendors would have advertised it alreay

EFILive is still not now supporting and has no plans in the future to support tuning for the LML.

Exactly!
Plus the fact that you want EFI to do something that is illegal. There are investigations going on already.

Hey Mike i think he was refering to the fact that the shop told his friend that it was EFI Live.

I dont blame EFI for not wanting to break laws though

tqmonster, i dont know how you can say walls isnt hosing people? ive seen more then once, "suncoast stage V" that took weeks of shipping and down time, only to get a none painted allison, and when questioned, finaly admits its actually a st 4 kit they installed? what about paying 900-1000 for a "custom" efi live tune that has a b1001 table "commanding" 256mpa? what about this guy, paying for an efilive tune on his lml? what about missing egr blocker plates, oh wait, he puts them on the intake side of the egr... Brian is obviously your friend, but this type of work is going to come back sooner or later. Just hate seeing people paying damn good money thats hard to come by these days, and not get what they are paying for. fair is fair.

Last I heard there is somebody out there working on a custom tuning suite like EFILIVE, but it isn't a plug into the OBDII plug and flash it type of deal. And EFILIVE has said they want no part of it, don't want to be associated with it, and don't want it talked about on there site bringing more attention to them. As for tuning, there are some pretty crappy tuners out there. For example I just did an LBZ that he had a popular canned tuner on and had forgotten to take it off when he had me read the tune out. I looked at what had been done, and about all they did was add 5% duration, some rail pressure, and put a bunch of post injection in it to make it smoke. The hot tune I just built for him has zero smoke(except a little haze on take off), and will light the tires in 3rd gear now whereas before he said it would just lay out a black cloud and sky rocket his EGT's.

what about transmissions that won't shift, or built motors that don't get balanced and then make a god awful racket when running? Oh wait, those were done by you. What does it matter to you what he charges for a tune? People can go to any shop they choose to. You're just upset cause they aren't going to you for ''quality'' work. Do you provide any warranty on your side job transmissions and tunes? Can you afford to replace a motor if you mess up a tune or get your customers warranty on their transmissions? I highly doubt it. i have said it before and i'll say it again. I will put my truck up against any stock turbo truck you have tuned any day of the week and twice on Sunday! If Walls tuning is garbage you should have no problem with my truck.

I'm sure it mirrors the quality of the "shop" they run.

Really don't feel bad for people who fall for this kind of stuff though, 5 minutes and a google search would have told anyone that you can't and will never have your LML tuned with EFILive.
