I recently changed to a 2.6 LLY VVT and have been having problems figuring out tuning. I can't seem to hold more than 35lbs of boost. I have changed vane position tables to lly and that is the best I have had it work. I am heading to the track in the morning and would like to try and straigten this out by morning. I will check back later to see what you guys have to offer.

I have also set max boost to 55 so that isn't the issue. Any help is appreciated.

Thanks, Jim

send me your tune and a few log files to [email protected] . i've played with the vane tables on my lbz quite a bit before i put the twins on so maybe i can lend a hand with that modded lly charger. where are you located?

took a quick look tonite you are only commanding 33psi at low altitude at 2500 rpm max. will work on it tomorrow. try and get some logs for me if possible. i don't want to command more boost and vane position than the turbo can handle and fry the bearings. when it was redone did you have ball bearings put in or stick with journals?

Okay, I will try and log some tomorrow...If I fry the charger it won't be the worst thing. The only thing that was touched was the compressor wheel.

Elevation is between 1000 and 1500

Well made out crappy as figured...I limped it first time down the track. I guess it's time to change the filters and shim the fprv. Took some fuel out of it and ran 2 very similar 13.68 passes. The truck is a pile from the line until almost half track. I couldn't seem to get more than 2k out of it at the line. Times are below:

60ft 2.0940
1/8 E/T 8.95
1/8 MPH 82.90
1/4 E/T 13.68
1/4 MPH 104.69

60ft 1.97
1/8 E/T 8.93
1/8 MPH 82.09
1/4 E/T 13.68
1/4 MPH 104.14

I will be installing the Drive pressure gauge thats been sitting in my truck for a month and go from there.
