What is the differences between the LLY and LBZ as far as tuning?
Apples to Oranges. They're very different. Concept is the same, but the tables differ vastly. The LLY has more in common with the LB7 than the LBZ from a tuning standpoint.

the 05 LLY is the best year GM ever made... :D

Damn straight - too bad I have hardly anything left on the motor that came from an 05 though.

you going to get efilive on that bad boy you might wanna get a exhuast and intake first

Why? Just because someone gets EFI Live doesn't mean they need to run the biggest baddest tune. You can easily and very safely run a moderate tune with the stock intake and exhaust. When you do upgrade your intake, upgrade the turbo inlet as well - right now the LBZ turbo inlet is the best and cheapest option, then you can bolt up an aftermarket LBZ intake with it and rescale the MAF with EFI Live.

When i get the money I'm planning on getting an intake, exhaust, lift pump, and beef up my trans, to handle the power of EFIlive. Hopefully I will be running into some money soon. :thumb: Do you know of anything else I'll need? They say the LLY has features built in that protect the stock trans and it will run crappy with EFI.

I've heard that that's what "they say" too, just haven't run into it yet on mine or any other LLY I've tuned.

I don't know of any LLYs running 800+ hp without EFI Live......

Seriously it will run just fine with the right EFI Live tune on it - and the stock trans won't be protected from big race tunes by any magic features.

EFILive works fine on LLY's. In fact, LLY's have perhaps more support than the other models since many of the beta testers of EFILive were LLY guys when it was being released.
