Lly to lq4 gas

Anyone know if this can be done I built a custom suspension straight axles under a 05 ccsb lly. I like it for driving around but playing around in the sand I think I would be happier with a lq4. And it's way cheaper to build a gasser than a dmax motor.

I have an Lq4 in my 86 half ton with a 4l80e and even with a stock trans tuned lly in my crew cab it way better then my Lq4 tuned and it weighs 2500 lbs less and the 86 has 4:10's you get a built trans in that LLY (much less headache then the swap your talking about) it will be alot of fun.

I think this is the first time Ive read a "reverse" swap question. 100% agree its cheaper to build an LS, but what are you doing that an LLY wouldnt be satisfactory?

Now if your wanting to turbocharge it that could be a different story soooo much cheaper to make 600 horse then with a diesel. But not as easy to tune.

I suppose it could be done, it would be easier to buy a totaled truck and swap everything over. Or sell your truck and buy a gas truck....
