So I got my built motor up and running. It keeps throwing me a P0016 code which is cam/crank correlation. I put brand new GM sensors in the truck as well as had 2 other people (besides myself) verify that I had the timing dots lined up (2 dots straddling the other dot, can't remember which gear had 2 dots vs 1 dot).

My MitchellOne tells me that it is a bad cam sensor (not crank). My RPM signal is right on and the truck does run smoothly aside from a couple small tweaks needed in the tuning for rail pressure at idle.

What is the likelihood of having a bad sensor from GM? Possible wiring issue? The truck did not have this code when I took it apart and the wiring harness was just coiled up under my workbench for 4 months not moving so I don't think its a harness problem.

Any input is appreciated.
