LLY: LLY No Boost???

A guy I know has a 04.5 LLY he had someone tune it and he said he was only seeing 9lbs of boost but the truck felt fast at the time. He said is getting worse and worse by the day. Now he has no boost at all. He said it smokes alot and under normal driving conditions and he said its approaching 1200* without beating on it.

He checked all the intercooler boots and connections, the truck is stock with an exhaust. He gets no engine light either he scanned it with a Snap-on Modus and it didn't retrieve any codes.


Any ideas where to check next??:confused:

A local guy, I'd rather not throw him under the bus. We are gonna take the tune out and return it to stock and see whats up. How much boost should an LLY run stock?
