can anyone tell me if there is a way to see if the ficm is actually sending a signal to the injector to open? i am trying to help another member with a no start condition after a rebuild. not sure what it is but were leaning to fueling. i know the ficm signals and grounds each injector but not sure if there is a constant power and it grounds or vice-a-versa. i think the ground is the control but not sure.

The ground is not controlled, all grounds from all injectors are collected together, so far I recall there are the red wires.

The plus line's (different colors) get controlled with a 16Amp bosst current and 10Amp holding current.

I tried once with the timing light of a gasser and it worked, also you may take one glow plug out and when you get white smoke/atomized diesel out the glow plug hole you know you get fuel under pressure.

according to the diagram i have here the "injector supply voltage" are grouped in orange and the "fuel injector command" are individual and go to ground via the ficm. so you put the timing light clamp around one of the command wires? seems easy enough
