LLY: LLY High Idle not working, need some ideas...

Hello everyone,

I have a LLY that over the past couple months I have noticed the high idle isn't working correctly on. When its cold enough for it to work, you will here the truck start to ramp up, and just at the highest RPM it should run on high idle it drops back off to a normal idle. It will then idle low for 5-7 seconds, then begin ramping back up. It does this non stop and will never fully kick into a high idle. Does anyone have any ideas why or what could be causing this?

probably find a code for a brake switch or something on the truck. If its starting to go bad that will prevent high idle from working.

Ok, I'm guessing I'll need to get more than a parts store scanner to read it since it hasn't thrown a code or anything huh?

There are adjustments in the ecm that you can get into with EFI live.

I do have EFI Live, but it just started doing this 2 months ago. I've had EFI Live for over 3yrs now.
