Im working on a 2wd lly 3500 6 speed manual worktruck for a friend and he brought it down here and it is shaking like hell I first thought it was a head gasket but the truck is not running hot and the best I can tell it is not using any water but the coolant in the tank is really really dark green like somebody put the wrong antifreeze in it I took out about 8 oz and put in a mason jar just to see if it had any oil in it and it is not seprated everything still looks dark green

I took the balancer off the pin is still in good shape

I really dont think it is injectors the truck runs good when you get it on the road and it has no lose in power

I had a guy tell me that it could be the manual trans something out of wack in there

But do any of you guys have any idea what it could be all help and info will be appreciated

The stock dual mass flywheel could be bad.

Would a bad flywheel cause the whole truck to shake really bad when at idel the wheels even shake inside the tires when I push in the clutch nothing changes everything still shakes it will quit shaking when I get about 55 mph in 5th gear going down the road

If I take one of them Laser Temperature Gun and crank the truck and let it idel and go around and check every pipe on the exhaust manifold wouldnt this show me if one of the cyclinders was losing compression because it wouldnt be as hot as the others

Why not use the DVT on EFI live and turn off each cylinder one at a time to see if it goes away. That will tell you which cylinder has a problem if any.

I let the truck cool all night and took the coolant cap off and let all the pressure off and then cranked the truck let it idle for about 2 to 3 min and then turned it off and started to take the cap off again slowy and it blew the cap out of my hands sounds like a head gasket to me aint that way to much pressure for a cold engine
