Theres a kid in town Im helping out with his truck. He has an LLY that he got an EFI tune and it rattles and smokes alot and his egts get to 1200 unloaded just on small hills. I sent him a tune that just had a different PW and the stock GM high altitude timing maps. He drove the truck around a few days and said it felt great, but then it started not going into reverse  I told him to flash the stock tune back in and see if it may be the NSBU but it seems not to be. Im going to attatch the tune to see if you guys know whats wrong? Just trying to help him get his truck running the way it should. Thanks

Jordan

Jordan, there is no reason that should hurt or disable anything especially reverse. It looks pretty standard to me. The only thing I dont care for is disabling the boost/vain position tests. I would have him reflash it and see if it maybe got messed up in the transfer. Who knows.

As I stated I didn change anything in the tune other than pulsewidth and injection timing. I feel like there's no reason for it to have an issue with reverse unless a torque table was messed up? But he said it wasn't doing it on the stock tune

So any ideas guys? Or do you think his NSBU is just crapping out as it's a 5spd. He's getting the following codes:
P0090
P0621
P0622
U0105
U0106
C0245
B1480

I looked these up to see what codes they are. Does anyone know wht some of these codes are typically caused by?

Check the harness for wiring rubbed through or a bad connector. It is unusual to lose communication with both the ficm and gpc at the same time. It could be somethin in the tune as well though. I have a couple tunes that do weird things and the problems seem to go away when I flash a different tune in.

The only thing is hes been running this tune for quite some time with no issue, and all I changed were timing and PW. He had his FICM and one injector replaced a little while ago so Im assuming the dealership is responsible for that code, but the wheel speed sensor code im a little unsure about as ive never seen it.

Wheel speed sensor could be a bad wheel bearing

i would full flash the truck and see if the codes come back is he using the correct op systym?

Sound to me like electrical issues not tuning

Im unsure of what his op system should be ill look at it but like I said he got a tune from a vendor that ran like total shit and just needed some help getting it cleaned up. So I get him a tune that runs great but now he is having all of these strange problems. The biggest thing is that the truck occasionally will not go into reverse and give him a shift range inhibited.
