So a long while back the EGR fell off my truck and ever since I get the typical codes and check engine light. I read a lot where some people do EGR delete and get no codes.... This is my question. I work at a chevy dealership as a tech so could I reflash my ECM to a specific stock setup and does anyone know which flash I should do to not get the check engine light? Maybe an older one or possibly a newer updated flash on it. Any ideas guys?

Aint gonna happen, GM has no programing available (at least none I'm aware of) that would circumvent the EPA Federally mandated emission tuning or devices. Federal law prohibits the tampering of these devices and programing. To put it in a nutshell anyone tampering, removing, altering, circumventing these devices or programing is violating federal law, and yes this includes you when your EGR "fell off"........:D EFI may or may not work with the new software upgrade for the LBZ and older trucks, on the older software it does and I have not updated my V2 or EFI software.

So I just reprogrammed my ECM and on the new update I had two options. Rectangular air box and circular. I picked circular but now I'm thinking that would be for like the kodiaks intake. But anyhow now I get p0101 code which is MAF performance code. And the MAF pid spikes at 500 gps almost instantly on WOT but wouldn't that be a good thing if the ECM thinks it had more intake flow than normal? Maybe I'll reflash it tomorrow with the rectangular air box flash and see what happens. Is the p0101 a performance limiting code? THanks
