Have had the truck for about 4 months and since that time the tranny has limped with out driving it 4 or 5 times.truck drives fine park it and go to drive and the truck and it is in limp mode I have noticed it clunks from park to gear or park to reverse when this happens. It did it before the tranny build and after.turn the truck off turn it back on and it's fine. Today I cleared the dtc with the insight after reading the p0700 code Sent from the tcm and all has been good since like usual.any thoughts

You'll have to get a Tech2 or someone with EFILive to look at the transmission codes. That is what is going to tell you why it's doing it.

The way you describe the shifts when it is limped sounds like it is in hydraulic mode. The TCM codes should tell you why that is.

Just a wild guess, but since it does it when switching to and from Park, it is possible your NSBU switch is bad. Hopefully that is the case, since they are relatively cheap.

Good luck!

The P0700 implies that there is codes stored in the TCM. cannot tell you how to retrieve them with EFI but with a Tech II I can.

connect your scan tool to the vehicle and select your tcm. after it connects click the obd II button (F7) then click dtc. then you should have to hit shift + F8 and your codes should pop up.
