Limp mode?

I have a question, I have a 2005 LLY with only 60K I have the Edge Juice with the attitude monitor, I have a full MBRP exhaust with a cold air intake and I don't have the hot unlock code for my edge, but when I have it turned up to #4-5 and hammer down it goes into limp mode check engine light comes on. takes a good 60 miles to turn off. Well I guess is what im saying what is causeing that proublem and how can I get rid of it with out a huge tranny over haul??? Please help im not making a sled puller out of it but I would like to make a little hot rod out of it. HELP PLZ

Get a transgo shift kit it should be a cheaper way to fix it I run a hot efi live tune on my lbz and I had about 25 street races on it before I ever limped it and then I limped it twice and rebuilt it and the cluthes wasnt even burnt

Did you give it time to learn the tune before you hammered into it? If not then the TCM is expecting a certain amount of HP and when it get's more it WILL limp as it will slip. Once you limp it enough you might as well set aside money for a build.
