Ok I've found someone in my area that will program my ECM for a lily instead of lb7 but they don't know if it will effect the PCM any other computer on the truck so my question is what is this going to effect or mess up if I engine swap to an lily and have the ECM retuned to the 48v for the injectors instead of the 96 that in the program now for the lb7

go start a different thread. but just a heads up, if they dont know the answer to that, DO NOT let them touch your truck with a 10ft pole.

Exactly. This is not a good start to finding a shop who can tune an ECM. Shop around.

You should fill out your Sig let us know what you got yr,mods,etc.. It will make it easier on you and us ! Do you have efi live? Your reg is located on top of the cp3( injector pump) front of motor near thermostat housing sits in the gully of the motor

Umm, what? How are they going to program an LLY tune into an LB7 ECM, and how is that going to have any affect on the voltage from the FICM?

FYI, PCM is another name for ECM, but it is usually used for a computer that controls both the engine and transmission. PCM=powertrain control module. Our trucks have an ECM (engine control module) and TCM (transmission control module). There is also an FICM (fuel injector control module) on the LB7 and LLY. The LBZ, LMM, and LML control injectors directly with the ECM.

Ok so everything Ive seen on these forums say that it's a plug and at to swap a lb7 to an lly all u have to do is re tune the ECM to 48 instead of 96v for the injectors to work I'm trying to eliminate having to change out injectors again in another 75- 150,000 miles I use this truck to hot shot and that's how I make a living so I need to be sure that it will work before I get off into it and then have to change a lot more stuff or something like that not to mention the fact that I'll already be out what the lly is going to cost me

So all I have to do is re tune the ficm to pull 48 instead of 96 that is used to operate the lb7 ?
