raced this guy in 600hp, 12.5 sec, lly last night. tow tune beat him by a 1/2 truck with neither person gaining any ground :rofl:

It takes 600hp to run a 12.5?? :rofl: I went 12.61 and if I had 600hp my stock trans would have exploded and endangered anyone nearby.

yeah, im pretty sure the dyno he did 600 on was waaaay off. he agrees
. i have no idea how much power the tow tune makes but it feels just as strong as the race tune i had in it when i bent rods last year, maybe a little more as the truck would fall on its face on the big end due to falling rail. i would put it in the 550hp or less range. not to metion PW is a little over half of what it use to be for the same amount of power its an extremely hot tow tune haha

I was kinda expecting it to happen but since steve was working on getting the defuel dialed in on the truck for this tune, i wasnt about to load the big tune to really throw my trans for a loop. Now that shes shifting nice, its time to start workin on the big tune in a few more weeks. i was reeeeeally tempted to load it though. im glad i took the DSP5 out :rofl:
Psh ok maybe the 623hp pull was a fluke, but i backed it up with a 618! Fluke dyno, whatever its a tool. My truck made 541 on the same setup on a dyno I trust to give true hp #'s.
On that note my truck is 6600lbs. With how much James' truck weighs, and with the 37s, that tune is nothing shy of true 580-590rwhp.
He pulled 1/2 ahead of me as i spooled and we were dead even the whole way.
Closest 'spirited driving' ive ever been in, usually its doors blown off one way or the other.
Now child puts that thing on race tuna and im in the rearview for sure. You shoulda heard the front tire on my side crying for mercy when we were logging haha. :woott:

I didn't understand at first why those numbers were bunk. Looking back its kinda funny just how bad that dyno was off. I was on a stock single turbo/injectors then lmao:roflmao:
Thats why I tell people, "on average" the Dmax makes 600hp on the stock CP3.
I say "on average" not because of variation from truck to truck, but variation from dyno to dyno.
Because as you know, people who are...I'll just call them new...people who are new to dynos/performance etc dyno their shitbox one time and hold that number as absolute and true and they will die for it.

i really need to find some slicks and get to the track. I just want a MPH so i have some idea of my rwhp. holds 22000-23000 on a 3100uS tune and 28* of timing.
haha i know! i was "shit steve, hit them brakes" cause you went wizzin by after i let off. We hit just over 95mph.
