Lights behind the grill

I wanted to mount 2 Hella Black Magic's behind the grill, like a lot of other things, I haven't got to it yet. I'd like to see what ways other people have made it work.
I think it looks pretty cool, but I have always worried about how to keep the lights clean so they work. We get a lot of silty road spray around here during certain times of the year.
My old man had them on his truck, they were blue lights as he was a firefighter. . .
They worked well for that, but as far as casting a good beam for driving lights, I have my doubts because of the obstructions.

I've seen it done. I'll post a link for the thread in the DF. I know that the 01/02 chevrolet trucks can not put lights behind the grille because one of the coolers is right there. They would mount perfectly on the cross memeber that is there.

Yeah Tyler I have seen that thread. I was wanting to know what they would look like behind a chevy grill.
Yeah I know Steve. I would like to see the same thing. I think that only the square style lights will work vs. the circle style lamps because of the middle part of the grille piece would obstruct the light output. Although the 03 and up grilles have the option of a grille that doesn't have the bowtie and it would work then. I still would like to see pictures of either one tho.
Seems like unit453 put some black majics or some of the same type behind his before the current setup. There was a time when quite a few on DP were trying this.
