What's everyone doing with their lifters when they build their motor?

Just reusing the originals? If so does it matter if they go back in the same location? Does it matter if you're using a new cam?

They make aluminum lifters also i think there 1800 bucks. Ive talked with a couple different people about this topic as well but never made a post about it. Interested to see the responses.

Well I had no intentions of spending $1800 on a set. But is it necessary to buy a new stock set? If I can just pull and reuse the current ones do they need to go back in the same location? If I throw in an AF cam can old ones be reused or should new ones be ordered?

I'd just look them over and make sure they look like they're in good shape. If they are, re-use them. They're roller lifters so they don't necessarily have to go back in the same spot they came from but preferences will vary.
