lift questions

im thinking of going with a 2" lift so i can clear bigger tires. i was wondering what size tire you could clear with just that? currently i think mine are 33ish (285-75-16) and i could easily go bigger. would i need to change gears once i got to a certain size tire?

What do you use the truck for? With proper backspacing, light trimming, & some torsion keys you can run a 35.

i dont use it for anything lol i drive to and from base with it. other than that i like to hit mud pits. this is the reason i want bigger tires. my friend was tellin me the truck would clear 315-75-16 which is like 34.8". i just want to go bigger cause the 2" lift is cheap even with new shocks.

so i wouldnt have to gear the truck differently with anything bigger than 35"?

You don't need to regear it with 35's. You don't need to regear it until you go larger than 35's. If you put 35's on it with the 2" lift, keep an eye on the inner well and bumper with rubbing. You may need to trim a little or go for some rims with a deeper offset. I wouldn't suggest using spacers though. :thumb:
